dickey vs. pirates tuesday!
look for dickey to pick up win #6 in pittsburg tuesday, gametime is 7:05 pm. he has 19 quality starts in his last 20. this make me wonder what the
record is for consecutive starts and what the best quality start pct. for a career might be. mow'em down r.a.!

great matchup saturday!
dickey goes for #8 saturday, at home at 4:10 pm vs. the st. louis cardinals. he will oppose 2006 world series mvp adam wainwright who has looked very
good in his last 2 starts. coincidentally, i ran into wainwright at st. simons island, ga in jan. 2005 and we had a brief discussion about fellow
knuckleball pitcher john smoltz and his ability to throw the knuckleball very hard.
dickey's gems have become routine! look for the dominance (sorry taylor) to continue!

mets continue to amaze!
terry collins is easily the manager of the year so far. dickey was 4th in the nl in 2011 in quality starts but because of not much run support he
finished with 8 wins. now he's 8-1 on june 3? he may move up in the rotation and pitch on 4 days rest, contingent on a bullpen monday.

i would guess fellow knuckleballer and tampa bay executive wade boggs will be in the stands sitting next to fellow teammate, tim wakefield. wakefield
always seemed to have great outings at tropicana field, dickey seems to have great outings anywhere. in his last 4 outings, dickey's era is

his next start is monday, june 18th against the orioles, then june 24th vs. the yankees, followed by june 29th vs. the dodgers, then july 5th vs. the
phillies, then on normal rest he could start the allstar game july 10th. 14 wins by the break? hip-hip, r.a.!

(league leading) quality start and could retake the lead for strike outs. look for taylor's torment to continue, mow'em down r.a.!
i've got a great cole hamel story, august 2003, clearwater fl. i chased down a ryan howard homer, coming back into the park a fellow told me
about hamel who had been the phillies 1st round pick. he'd just been called up and had pitched the night before. he was charting pitches and i
walked up and asked him to sign the ball. as i handed it to him, i asked if he had a knuckleball. he smiled and said, 'i don't need one,
i throw 94'. in 2010, dickey and hamel faced off and dickey threw a 1-hitter, hamel got the bloop single. knock him down r.a.!

the rocket has signed with the sugarland skeeters of the independent atlantic league. rumor has it the astros are thinking about signing him to put
some fans in a lot of empty seats. dickey's next assignment will be against the astros in houston. wouldn't be surprised to see #43 in
attendance.

great matchup, huge test for r.a., he's looking for #18 and should he get it against the cardinals, there is no stopping him. i talked to
wainwright for a few minutes 1/05 in st. simons island,ga, he was bragging on john smotz knuckleball and how hard he could throw it. now he gets to
face dickey's version. both are enjoying good years, dickey is 17-4, wainwright is 13-11, wainwright has a better fastball, dickey has the
knuckleball, decision r.a. dickey!
gametime is 1:45 pm est, in st. louis, be there!

it's not official but it looks like dickey's next start could come against the other national league 18 game winner. gio gonzalez is 18-7
(2.98) and has been annouced as the national starter monday against the mets. gonzalez has 49 wins over the last 3 years, he's too is having a
tremendous year, but gio doesn't have a knuckleball, decision, r.a. dickey!

looks like he'll get an extra day of rest before facing the marlins in miami at 1:05pm. he's pitched very well against them this year
with a couple of complete game shutouts.
an amazing year, 3 more starts, can't wait to see r.a. finish strong!

as expected dickey will pitch in miami on tuesday. look for yet another gem with 10 or 12 more k's. gametime is 7:10, the perfect ending to
this amazing season would see dickey suit up again on the 3rd and pick up another win.
the day after dickey k'd 13 pirates, the pirates were no hit by the reds homer bailey. shouldn't dickey get an assist?
with dickey pitching the 2nd we can be totally focused on the 1st (of 3) presidential debates on october 3. mow'em down mitt!
