What exactly is a Palm ball? how does it differ from a changeup

A palm ball is just a different variation of a changeup is all. Its just as it says just palm the ball and throw it. The reason why its not used often is because the deeper you grip it the harder it is to control but it also does take off more speed. I think the palm ball is usually a straight change as well, so not alot of movement on it; which is why a circle change is favored.

I don't agree with the not alot of movement because i throw a palm ball and it tends to go down and in on a right handed batter, it could be how the ball is orientated in my hand though so it could be that.

hey gotty j try this:



grip ur palm ball and simply go through ur wind up but don't throw over the top just push it and just take fingers off the ball and watch it float i generlly get more movement on it that my knuckler(but then again i don't really throw a knuckler)

well after some thought i realized that MY change up is actually a palm ball....its hard as hell to control but has great drop....im developing it little by little
