How do you throw a slurve?
I've only seen the pitch on MVP Baseball 2004

I.e. A sweeping curve

I'm curious to see whether i throw one or not, i'm not sure. I grip the Curveball, but tuck in my thumb under the ball, and i flick my
thumb so it has almost sideways rotation like a Slider.
It comes out slower but it has a mad slow break to it. It can look like it's going behind the hitter and then swings back across the plate.
It's pretty slow though, but it's hard to get any more velocity on it without losing the swinging break.
Is the guy from the Reds Ryan Wagner?

Kirk Rueter (SF) throws one. The slurve isn't a particularly good pitch. It doesn't have the sharp bite of a good slider or the big break
of a curve, making it really easy for batters with the opposite-handedness of the pitcher (not particularly eloquent, but you know what I mean) to hit
hard.

Yank it up
How about Felix Heredia? I know he throws a slurve. Too bad he has no control...

I'm watching C.C just now and he's throwing one. I see what you mean about the lack of a sharp bite 49, it seems to have quite a
predictable break to it.

slurves are very very dangerous to throw. it has a hard spin witch that the ball kinda disapears from the batters eye all he can see is a red or black
dot.
the slurve is basicaly a slider grip, then flick the wrist like throwin a curve then flick the fingers all in one motion.
to bette ease it basicly do as if you were opening a doorknob
some people call it a doorknob slider

Its Easy
I was taught by a high scholl pitching coach on how to throw the slurve. Put your index and middle finger together, and place them on the top of the
ball were the seams connect. Dont bend your thumb, the thumb should be on the bottom of the ball. Throw it like a slider.

It is a mixture between a curve and a slider. I pitch it. Usually whn I tried to throw a sinker it would slurve. So now I throw a slurve intsead.

Jamie Moyer throws an amazing slurve.
Its really not that hard to throw. I am working on a slurve with a deep sink/drop...I have been working on it for awhile, but I dont think I throw
hard enough to do it...have to get awesome spin on it. When Shigetoshi Hasegawa was still in Japan, he threw one called "The Falling

bad pitch
The slurve is technically a slider that is as slow as a curve, but has slider break. The key to a slider is good tight break, and when you throw a
slurve since it doesnt have that deceptive break if you dont put it in the right spot its gone

You just throw the ball with a curveball grip and throw it at a 45* angle. Or you can do the football slider which is the same thing movement wise.
If you throw one high, you'll get slammed. Keep the ball below the waist at all times unless you're throwing it outside to a righty (for
a right-handed person. Lefty, vice-versa). I've thrown it in a game a few times and it works decently if you can get it to work right. Also
the football slider is good for younger pitchers who havent developed their arms. Cup the ball in your palm along the seams and throw it like a
football.

When you grip a slurve you grip it on the horseshoe. When you throw it you throw it like a fastball. If you want to make it break more or slider
harder then you can flick your wrist to put extra spin on it so it will slide/break harder. If throw correctly nobody should be able to hit it .
Warning: Flicking your wrist can cause extra stress on elbow and Shoulder.
