Author Bio
Dave has been a freelance sportswriter for over 35 years. His work has
appeared in the Worcester, Mass., Telegram, the nationally-published
Western & Eastern Treasures, and various local newspapers. He's
written a monthly column for the online sports collector's ezine, The
Oddball Insider, since its inception a decade ago. He's the author of
the breakthrough knuckleball how-to book, The Knucklebook,
and has been known to haunt the National Baseball Hall Of Fame and
local meetings of SABR. He's owned a website devoted to the knuckleball
for many years, www.knuckleballhq.com, and owns one devoted to his
book, www.knucklebook.com.
He's been a coach of Little League and Babe Ruth teams his son has played for.
Past activities include Little League (as a player), mountain hiking, skydiving, and ice hockey.
Currently he's a pro photographer and webmaster for a metro-Boston auto dealership.
Born in Fitchburg, Mass., and brought up in Ashburnham, Mass., he lives
in Barre, Mass., with his wife and daughter, and a son who comes home
from college to do his laundry.
